I now realize this question (as originally posed) is a duplicate to make-the-faq-clear-on-how-a-question-can-be-reopenedmake-the-faq-clear-on-how-a-question-can-be-reopened. Thank you @ColeValleyGirl. I'm not sure why it didn't show up when I googled it - I got hits on other faqs (that didn't seem pertinent) but not this one. So I am modifying this question to ask that the genealogy faq have a similar faq and refers to the meta.se faq referenced.

I updated a closed question. Normally when updating anow realize this question due to comments, you can include (as originally posed) is a comment of your own addressedduplicate to the commentermake-the-faq-clear-on-how-a-question-can-be-reopened. HoweverThank you can't comment on a closed question@ColeValleyGirl. DoI'm not sure why it didn't show up when I need to do anything or will people who voted to close be notified by the system?

In this particular case there is a relevant meta question sogoogled it - I can put a comment theregot hits on other faqs (that didn't seem pertinent) but not this one. ButSo I don't wantam modifying this question to if the system is already informing the closers.

In this particular case there is a relevant meta question so I can put a comment there. But I don't want to if the system is already informing the closers.

Does the system inform you if there is an edit to a question you voted to close?

How do people who closed a question know it's been updated?
